Yiwu Railway Station to International Trade City: Metro, Taxi or Bus
High-speed trains from Shanghai, Hangzhou and Guangzhou arrive at Yiwu Railway Station (义乌站). From there the market is a short trip — the question is metro, taxi or bus, which exit to use, and what it should cost. A local checked all three.

Metro: Yiwu Railway Station stop → International Trade City stop (exit D)
Follow the metro signs inside the station to the Jinhua–Yiwu–Dongyang line; ride to the stop named International Trade City; leave by exit D and walk about 300 m to District 1 East, Gate 12 (visitor-reported). ¥2 for the first 8 km.
Taking the intercity metro from the station
The Jinhua–Yiwu–Dongyang intercity line (金义东市域轨道) runs through Yiwu. According to public sources the Yiwu Railway Station stop opened on 1 July 2026 (test rides from 26 April), so the station now connects directly to the stop named International Trade City; visitors report leaving by exit D and walking about 300 m along the road on the left to District 1 East, Gate 12, then taking the lift to the 4th floor. Fares start at ¥2 for the first 8 km, then ¥1 per 4 km up to 28 km (operator fare rule, Jinhua Rail Transit), so the station-to-market hop is ¥2–3.
Buying a ticket with a foreign passport: the ticket machines in the station hall sell single-journey tickets for cash (¥1 coins, ¥5 / ¥10 / ¥20 notes) — choose the destination station or the fare, then the quantity; no ID is asked for a single ticket. QR-code entry works through the operator’s 金轨智行 app or the Alipay transport code once you have Alipay set up; face-recognition entry needs a Chinese ID card activated at the service centre, so it is not for visitors. What visitors warn about at Yiwu station
Visitors describe long taxi queues on arrival, no ride-hailing cars available at peak times, and an underground ride-hailing zone that is stifling in summer. Their workaround: walk to the west drop-off area (西落客区) and hail there, or take the free shuttle or the metro.
Posts report a ¥58.7 meter to the market, ‘taxi is double the Didi price’, and drivers refusing the meter. Say 请打表; photograph the licence card if you have to.
The station is large; visitors allow ten minutes from the platform to the exits and as long again for security on the way back.

Market → station for your train
Allow more time than the ride itself: the station security queue at peak hours and finding the right waiting hall with a foreign passport (paper ticket not required, but identity check at the gate) can take 20–30 minutes. Taxis from the market to the station are plentiful; Didi also works.
