Times are astronomical calculations (adhan.js, open source), not the mosque's announcement; iqamah at the mosque is usually a few minutes later. Jummah: two independent visitor posts (Nov 2024, Jul 2025) put the Friday prayer at about 13:15; traders leave the market after 11:00 to get there. The mosque itself publishes no online timetable (its site yiwumosque.com.cn was unreachable when we checked, Sep 2026), so the board at the gate may differ by ±5 minutes from the calculation above — we have not yet photographed the board; a reader photo is welcome via the contact page.

What to expect at Jummah

The congregation is international: Arabic, Urdu, Chinese and English are all spoken in the courtyard. Visitors describe Friday as ‘the whole city turning up’ — the halls, the courtyard and the side rooms fill.
Arrive early; the prayer hall fills, and Xiangshan Road and Jiangbin West Road outside are gridlocked around midday on Fridays.
The mosque has a women’s hall; women visitors are asked to wear a headscarf on Fridays.
Wudu facilities are available; bring your own prayer mat if you prefer.
Outside the gate on Fridays: roast chicken and lamb ribs sold by the jin, pomegranate juice, skewers, pulao and nang — and a halal butcher (Jiangbin West Road 121) across the road.
Exotic Street restaurants are busiest right after Jummah; on Eid morning visitors head from the mosque to the Yemeni rooms for breakfast.

Visitor posts from November 2024 and July 2025 both put the Friday prayer at about 13:15, ending around 13:20; the mosque confirms the time each season and we show it at the top of this page once verified. Daily prayer times are calculated for Yiwu and updated every day.

Where is Yiwu Mosque?

On Jiangbin West Road (江滨西路) in the Jiangdong area, south-west of the centre; visitors reach it by taxi or bus and describe it as one of the largest mosques in eastern China. Show the driver card above.
